get to know Betsy
Betsy is an American artist who was raised in Indiana. She lived in California for about 15 years before calling Texas her new home. She has a Bachelor’s of Arts in Couture Fashion Design and Costume Construction, and Master’s of Science in Nursing. She has worked in various roles, and continues to work as a Nurse Educator in the field of public health. Betsy has always had a strong appreciate for the arts and her diverse background and experiences have helped shape her vision as a self-taught painter.
Betsy’s work has been featured in various exhibitions around the Austin area, and her prints can be found at the Round Rock Downtowner gallery and Blue Sky Art on Wheels in Dripping Springs. She painted her first public art piece in Taylor, Texas in 2021 and presently her Birds of Texas are part of an outdoor exhibit in Prete Plaza in Round Rock. Betsy’s studio can be found at Good Dad’s in Austin.
